Campaigning for the people of Burgess Hill Learn more

Dear Resident
Below are the 2nd May 2013 election results for Burgess Hill East, County Council division.
I was not successful in being re-elected this time, that said, I would like to not only thank all of you who did vote for me this time round; but also everyone who has supported me at the ballot box, and subsequently over the last 30 + years to move our community forward.
I would also like to thank all my former councillor colleagues and the officers who have worked tirelessly to achieve much of what I have asked of them on your behalf, and in many cases exceeded our expectations. Thank you also, to the many residents who have emailed and phoned me to express their personal regret that I will no longer be representing them.
I will be taking a short break before taking stock of what I will now be doing to help where I can. I have already had some requests to work on projects for the community in a broader sense.
In the meantime, please keep visiting my web site for regular updates. But there will be a couple of weeks from now before anything new is added. The website address will remain the same, but will contain more community campaigning activity content than before and now that I no longer have the constraints which comes with being a councillor.
For now though, I will wish my successor all the best and hope she feels that she can offer the honest representation to the community that is needed; rather than saying one thing at County Hall and another in Burgess Hill.
Best wishes
Sue Knight
